Graffities

It is a way which people express their emotions and thinking about different situations. Some people feel uncomfortable about the issues in their countries and they do take the walls of their streets for to do creative drawings.

Graffiti has become a strong social protest against all abuses by government, delinquency, and social differentiation. Behind each drawing they leave a footprint, there are a deep meaning. The purpose of this art is to open eyes of another people for be aware about the situation often they have eyes blind.

In Barranquilla, "Grafiteros"are synonyms of delinquency and vandalism. I not agree with this thinking because they are not bad people, not all.  However, I consider that actually many of graffities in Barranquilla are not beautiful because some "Graffiteros" just want to sabotage streets with ugly drawings.

On the other hand, countries as Argentina and Brazil, they consider this practice as important part of art which is admired by society. This happen because it is approved by international institutions.

Afrocolombians

Unfortunately, racism is a reality. Although nowadays, Afro Colombians have been included in some activities, still they are discriminated by white people or society. I consider that both black people and white people have the same ability to develop any activities, but in ours society black people or Afro Colombians don't have the same opportunity to improve, develop, go to school or university. According to a video that I  have saw, 76% of Afro Colombians are poor and only the minority of them have the opportunity to go to University. That is very alarming for me because I think that may be in this moment some children from Afro Colombian community do not have nothing to eat, and may be there are a lot children die for desnutrition. This situation hurt me. Why some people discriminate black people? if they just have a different kind of skin. Color skin not define how a person is. A lot white people are criminal, steal things, kill people, provoke war etc. Why think that Afro Colombians are bad people? why discriminate them? if they are people like you and like me. They are people very intelligent, people that have feelings, and they have the ability of change this world too.

Well, about me, my name is Lorena Russo, I am study Social Communication at Universidad Del Norte and I am 22 years old. I love dance because it make me feel better and comfortable. My birthday is on Febrary 4. I am a proud mom of a beautifull baby, her name is Sophia,  she is 1 year and 4 mounths. Actually, she is my motivation, I am inlove of her smile, eyes, and all about her.She is all my life and is my great blessing. I have to say that my dougther change my future of a best way. My philosophy is that all happen for a reason and may be in the moment we can not to undertand why, but with the time the answers come. I consider that I am a good friend, sincere and loyal. Not exist nothing more important for me that My family , because they always support me, listen me, and express me all your love. Finallly but not less important, I Love God.
